Rep Justin Amash Vote

Congressman Amash (R-MI), a libertarian leaning republican, is a hero to those who support him. Amash has a spotless record when it comes to core conservative values. In fact, he’s even won awards for his strong votes. Yet, his support of civil liberties and sound economic policy have caused disdain from neoconservatives. Justin Amash

Karl Rove recently attacked Amash on national TV saying that he is far more liberal and votes with Nancy Pelosi more than any other House republican. In fact, the exact inverse is true. Amash votes against Pelosi more than any other House republican.

Regardless, businessman Brian Ellis is expected to formally announce his  campaign against Amash in the coming days. Ellis says that Michigan deserves a more “traditional conservative”. Perhaps he’s referring to the likes of George Bush, Lindsey Graham and John McCain.

Ellis’ campaign bio declares that he is a “fiscal and social conservative Republican who embraces traditional values, limited government, and strong national security.”

Ellis is reportedly well funded. A group of wealthy businessmen within the state are going to be backing him.  Karl Rove’s super PAC, “Conservative Victory Project”, could jump in to support Ellis. After all, Rove has already been misleading the country on where Amash stands, and the super PAC was created specifically to squash tea party/libertarian republicans from winning elections.

The facebook link says: “Justin Amash to face Karl Rove SuperPAC primary challenge”. The article says that, “Karl Rove’s super PAC, “Conservative Victory Project”, could jump in to support Ellis”. So do we know if Rove’s PAC is actually involved at this point? Regardless, I guess it’s all hands on deck to get Amash re-elected. Hard to see him losing this one though…

    • sharonhansen209

I’d be a happy camper if Justin Amash was my congressman. I’m stuck with Kinzinger.

      • SovereignMary

sharonhansen209 – And, I’ve been stuck with Mr. CISPA, Congressman (R) Mike Rogers who chairs the House Intelligence Committee and supported the unlawful detention of American citizens, an attack on Syria, the Patriot Act and far too many constitutional violations of our unalienable rights and usurpations of the Supreme Rule of Law.
I’d like to clone Justin Amash and replace Rogers’ with Amash’s clone!

  • RogueR

Guess I’ll just be double and triple contributing to the Amash campaign

  • fieman01

If Karl Rove has anything to do with it, we know it is a lie and not good for America.

Karl Rove is a long time political Establishment Machine hack!

  • Standish

Hmm, but there is no Republican running in Michigans 5th congressional district? why would the R’s have someone run against another R and not in the 5th????

    • Cliff Hutchison

No Republicans running for Congress in Districts 12, 13, or 14 either, and 14 is an open seat race. I guess Karl Rove’s kind of “conservatives” know that they have no prayer of winning in those districts.

  • Seize Assets

Because Rove is stating such incredibly false accusations, one thing Amash should do is sue him in court. He will win – something very hard to do in the USA in a libel case. That should take the wind out of their sails.

  • usaok59

I definitely hope Mr. Amash is successful. Rove needs to join the Dems.

  • KCTed

Amash is a constitutional conservative with libertarian leanings.
There has been an assault on our constitution by the establishment progressives (in both parties) for quite some time. With the tsunami of propaganda by both sides, our constitution is losing ground. Big money from the global financial elite craves a global centralized government (guess who will be in charge).
There’s enough lackeys in both parties to “move forward” this agenda. The constitution is a bit of a brick wall, possibly now only a speed bump on the way to the global “Big Plantation”.
Herds of mindless minions are unable to see through the perception crafting, because they have been convinced that this agenda will mean everything that it’s not. Some sort of peace on Earth, every nation holding hands and singing Kumbaya, no petroleum for energy,, blah blah blah. This is blind faith that the House of Rothschild, Rockefellers, Soros, etc., are kind-hearted people who would be generous and equitable leaders of the world. In reality, it’s the blueprint for tyranny with the goal of making all the “little people” (think worker ants) become their serfs.
No, Amash can’t stop that by himself (and obviously, it’s well on it’s way) but he is aware and forthright in his efforts. We don’t need one less like Justin, we need 434 more like him. He’s someone that looks out for our financial benefit, as well as socially concerned, with no outside agenda.
He’s definitely one of the good guys.

    • LibertyMonger

No, Amash is just a TRUE republican.

  • Ricky Ross

Seriously, people still buy in to this production of theater produced for the programming of the masses, known as politics???

Put a monkey in there and at the end of the day, the same results will be had!

    • Gabe

      • Ricky Ross

I am so glad that you agree with me! Actually, I think that all 535 of them are idiots and anyone that believes that the system still works, is more of an idiot to believe so.

Good thing for you see things for how they actually are!

      • Ricky Ross

    • settheline

I mostly agree, but you’ve chose to comment on an article about one of the very precious few politicians who isn’t a scumbag + actually has some resolve + the brains to back it up. So…..why?

      • Ricky Ross

Because the entire system is corrupted and to believe that one man can make any significant change and do the work of the people in said corrupt system, is insane!

People need to get away from believing that the “hero’s” presented to us in Ron Paul, Ted Cruz and Justin Amash, etc, can do anything for us.

        The system is very broken!

You can put all new spark plugs in a blown engine and it will make no difference, when you turn the key…

        • SovereignMary

Ricky Ross – So, you’re one of the one’s that sits on your arse and does nothing but complain and bellyache, instead of putting your shoulder to the wheel and attempting to join others who are trying to make a difference.
You probably would have drilled a hole in George Washington’s boat before he and his crew crossed the Delaware, because in your all out negative view you would have considered the effort a waste of time to fight for a Limited Government Republic.
Gotcha … and absolutely disagree with you.

          • Ricky Ross

But Mary, GW would not have and did not play these games that all of you gutless sheeple wish to play!

You have no idea what I am doing…and FYI, sitting on my “arse” is the least of it!

I refuse to participate in the theater that you love so much. Obviously, you must like reality TV, because that is all that politics in America is!

  • SlimJim

    Karl Rove … SMH

  • RIck

Karl Rove! let’s follow the money trail he has, morevover let’s just take a look at what he has done to cause all the problems that stemed from Bush’s appointmen. He’s America’s Joseph Goebbels. Remember back when he was 21-years old Young Republican in Texas?

Karl Rove not only pimped for Richard Nixon’s chief political dirty tricks strategist Donald Segretti but soon caught the eye of the incoming Republican National Committee Chairman, George H. W. Bush. Rove’s dirty tricks on behalf of Nixon’s 1972 campaign wickedness catapulted Rove into the national spot light.

From his “Eagle’s Nest” in the West Wing of the White House, Rove now directs a formidable political dirty tricks operation and disinformation mill.

His political years when he tried to paint World War II B-24 pilot and hero George McGovern as a left-wing peacenik through his mid-level career as a planter of disinformation in the media on behalf of Texas and national GOP candidates to his recent 2002 role as Dubya’s “Svengali,” Rove has practiced the same style of slash and burn politics as did his Nixonian mentor Segretti.

So what the hell makes anything Karl Rove says count against Amash? 0… that’s it…. ZERO!

  • wialco

Rove thinks that Republican members like Amash and Paul are what is wrong with the Republican Party. He thinks that a successful candidate is a Dole, Gingrich, McCain, Romney type of politician. This is the replay of what happened when Ron Paul ran to retake his congressional seat in 1996.

If you recall, Paul narrowly won the primary against Greg Laughlin. Outraged that Paul won the primary, the GOP: Karl Rove, Governor G.W. Bush, former president G.H.W. Bush, Senator Phil Gramm and Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson campaigned against Paul for his Democratic opponent, Charles “Lefty” Morris. Morris’s nickname should be a dead giveaway.

Anyone confused about where Rove stands should remember those who stood against the best potential presidential candidate.

Isolation is what we have as the result of endless war. Who would trust a country that turns on its allies and values. People world-wide love our people, freedom and culture. But they despise the actions of our rogue government.

It is because of the likes of Karl Rove that the American people are the most pitied people on the face of the planet. Everyone outside our country sees what the U.S. federal government is doing to us and they shake their heads at our incredulity.

  • castello

What is it you folks like about any republican?

    • LibertyMonger

It is obvious you have no clue what a REAL classical Republican is supposed to be. Justin Amash, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Mike Lee and Thomas Massie are TRUE republicans.

      • denise0513

These men are TRUE to the Constitution of the United States. They stand in defense of the Constitution and therefore in defense of We the People!

        • Ricky Ross

You have bought in to it pretty deep…

“We always give the public their hero’s, we give the hero’s to every faction and the people, once they hear this person say all the right things, we give releases to them because he or she speaks for me, that’s how we rationalize it and we sit back and re-guide it again, we say go here and go do that and they do it, we give our power to the authorized hero’s.”

          – Albert Pike, From his book Morals & Dogma, 1871

          • denise0513

I haven’t bought into anything. I have researched Mr. Amash and he does stand for the people and the U.S. Constitution. I guess your heroes are republicans such as Graham and McCain or maybe Obama and his butt lickers are your faves.

          • Ricky Ross

WRONG! I am now a political atheist! I no longer participate in the ritualistic “my team vs your team” production of theater, that is only meant to control the masses…while NOTHING meaningful gets accomplished!

Funny though, when sheep are presented with facts, they automatically assume that you are with the “other team”. Set yourself free, so that you can see that this entire political process is a huge theatrical game that is being played on the people.

On the other hand, keep buying in to it and this I will guarantee you…NOTHING will ever change for the good of the people, no matter how much you support “your guy”.

          • denise0513

Practice what you preach! I NEVER said I was affiliated with any party. The “party”, to me, are the pimps and the politicians standing with the “party” are the prostitutes who will sell themselves to the highest bidder. For 36 years, I have voted for the person and NOT the party!

          • SovereignMary

Ricky Ross – What I’ve bought into is this nation’s ONLY Supreme Rule of Law .. of which Justin Amash has forthrightly honored and upheld.
I’m not a member of either main Party. In fact I consider myself a Constitutional Independent and chose those individuals who I believe will uphold their sworn oath and contract to the U.S. Constitution.

          • Ricky Ross

Good luck Mary…one day you will realize that the entire system is corrupted and no matter who gets SELECTED, no difference will be made!

    • settheline

Perhaps a more relevant question is: What is it that you DON’T like about Amash?

      • SovereignMary

settheline – There is nothing that I don’t like about Amash. Justin Amash has truly displayed and carried out his sacred oath and contract to honor and uphold the U.S. Constitution .. no matter what some others whims, schemes and agenda’s may be.
We need to keep Justin in office and garner far more like him.

  • Ken

Hopefully those in Michigan are too smart to see this ploy by the RINO’s.

Did Albert Pike in 1871 REALLY improperly use ‘s to form the plural of ‘hero’?

It’s time to put our money where our mouth is. Donate to Justin Amash’s reelection efforts and thwart Karl Rove and drive him nuts.
