Police have shot another unarmed man. This time it was in South Carolina, and the victim was being pulled over for a seat belt violation.

According to reports, Lance Corporal Sean Groubert with the South Carolina Highway Patrol shot at Levar Jones several times on Sept. 4. One bullet struck Jones.

In a dash cam video, Groubert asked for Jones’ license. Jones then checked his back pocket before going back to his vehicle.

Groubert then fired several shots at Jones before Jones fell to the ground. Jones was unarmed.

While Jones is on the ground with a gunshot wound to the hip, he asked Groubert, “What did I do, sir?”

Then Groubert asked Jones if he was hit.

“I don’t know what happened,” Jones said in the video. “I just grabbed my license.”

Groubert told Jones he shot at him because Jones dove head first in the vehicle.

Groubert is charged with high and aggravated assault and battery. He could face up to 30 years in prison, if convicted.
