BREAKING: Democrats Give Obama 72 Hours To Fix Healthcare Law- Or Else

A report has surfaced that congressional democrats are giving President Obama 72 hours to make some serious changes to Obamacare. The announcement comes after former President Clinton told Obama he needs to keep good on his promise to Americans with regard to healthcare. Democrats warn they will join House republicans for a legislative fix if the President doesn’t come through.

It would be unconstitutional for the President to make such changes to the law, as only Congress can legally do so, but this hasn’t stopped him before. The video below details the report.

Obama Admin Replaces Barricades At WWII Memorial Today

It really is stranger than fiction. After Ben Swann reported yesterday with exclusive images and video of the weekend’s veteran protest in DC, the Obama administration re-barricaded the WWII memorial today. Protesters had removed the gates and placed them in front of the White House.

Charlie Spiering with the Washington Examiner tweeted the below picture of freshly placed gates surrounding the WWII memorial.

The Obama administration continues to play theatrics, which is, in fact, costing the tax-payers money. For those who have never been to Washington, these memorials have no staff or gates. They are open air memorials, which are accessible 24 hours a day- 7 days a week. The only time the memorials are not accessible is when money is spent to hire workers and rent equipment to wall them off.

How America Reacted: Breaking Bad Series Finale vs. Government Shutdown

First we showed you how America reacted when Miley Cyrus “twerked” it on stage vs. the climax of the Syrian civil war/American intervention. Today we show you how America reacted to the government shutdown vs. the Breaking Bad season finale, which is a TV-drama I have never seen.

The Breaking Bad finale broke multiple records on its debut night with 10.3 millions viewers. It was even downloaded a 1/2 million times illegally. At the same moment as the show’s finale, Congress was moving to try and avoid a government shutdown. Titans within the House and Senate clashed with one another as debate raged on for hours.

Compromise could not be achieved and a shutdown was initiated. With so many lives being touched by a federal government shutdown, one would expect Americans to be alarmed and search for content related to the shutdown. On this evening Breaking Bad’s internet search volume (25) is 5x higher than government shutdown’s search volume (5). The next day (September, 30th) the letter from Obama’s executive office announcing the shutdown made headlines. However, Breaking Bad’s record setting traffic from the previous night also made headlines. Breaking Bad’s search volume (65) is 3x higher than “government shut down” (21). At this point, the government is officially shutdown.

Breaking Bad 1

Only two days after the finale did “government shutdown” overtake Breaking Bad, as seen below.

Breaking Bad 2

Breaking Bad (27) still has higher overall average search volume than” government shutdown” (26).

When specified for “News Search” Breaking Bad takes an even larger slice of the pie. (Image Below)

The morning after the finale Breaking Bad hit 100. Meanwhile, “government shutdown” was only at 24. Again, it was not until two days after the finale and the government shutdown had already been in place for quite some time did “government shutdown” overtake Breaking Bad. However, again- Breaking Bad (45) still has a higher overall average score than “government shutdown” (25).

Breaking Bad 3

These statistics were bound to the last 7 days and within the United States. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below-

The federal government has just officially ordered a shutdown for the first time in 17 years due to the inability to produce funding. Below is an image of the letter sent from the office of management and budget from President Obama.

House republicans sent multiple offers to the Senate in order to avoid a government shutdown as long as Senate democrats would compromise on some level. However, Senate democrats were unwilling to compromise and pass anything less than full implementation of Obamacare. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has been demanding a “clean” continuing resolution, which would not compromise the President’s healthcare law. Reid claims that democrats have already met republicans in the middle and compromised enough.

Lindsey Graham Lies To Voters About His Vote To Defund Obamacare

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) speaks to the press following his private meeting with United States U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice about the attack on U.S. diplomats in Benghazi, Libya in Washington

The heat has been turned on for Lindsey Graham, and he is feeling it. The embattled republican senator from South Carolina is relying on misleading semantics to deceive voters  into reelecting him over his two serious challengers, state senator Lee Bright (R) and businesswoman Nancy Mace.

The Senate voted last week on whether or not to defund Obamacare. The vote for cloture was the last chance republicans had to stop Obamacare in the Senate. All eyes were on the cloture vote. If cloture was achieved republicans would be outnumbered on the final vote to defund Obamacare and Senate democrats would easily end all hope for those wanting Obamacare to end.

Only 19 senators (all republicans) voted no on cloture. Senator Scott, South Carolina’s replacement for Jim DeMint, joined the fight against cloture and voted no. Graham voted in favor of cloture. In total, 79 votes for cloture allowed debate to end and the final vote to take place. All knew that if the final vote was allowed to happen then Obamacare would not be defunded. However, that didn’t stop every republican in the Senate from voting against Obamacare funding on the final vote. This way they could return to their constituents, as Lindsey Graham did, and tell voters that they voted to defund Obamacare.

In the letter above we see a US Senator deceiving voters. Graham was not alone. Republican senators around the country played the same card in emails and social media updates telling their constituents they voted to stop Obamacare, but there was nothing more they could do. This was certainly not the case. By voting for cloture, the majority of republicans allowed for the funding of Obamacare.

Prestigious Cleveland Clinic Cuts $300M, Layoffs Loom Citing Obamacare

According to ObamaCareFacts.com the President’s healthcare plan creates jobs. The website even goes as far as to say, “Corporate sponsored entities have been reporting that ObamaCare “kills jobs”, yet no study has shown this.”  However, we continue to hear multiple reports of companies and schools laying off employees, cutting their hours and benefits.

Indiana schools are being forced to reduce their workforce.  Wendy’s and other fast food restaurants are reducing their workforce as well. “I never thought it would impact me directly,” said Sullivan, a college professor. “I was stunned when I got the email…I love teaching at St. Pete College but that is a significant cut.” The Florida college is being forced to reduce her pay in half. UPS recently dropped thousands from their benefits package, which made headlines around the country. All have one thing in common. They cite Obamacare as the catalyst.

In 2009 when Obama was pushing his healthcare plan he cited Cleveland Clinic as the vision and blueprint for what America’s new healthcare system would look like. (VIDEO)

The Cleveland Clinic just recently announced that they will trim more than $300,000,000.00 from their operating budget and offer early retirement to many employees. Those who do not accept the package will be laid off.

A Cleveland Clinic spokesperson told Fox News:

To prepare for healthcare reform, Cleveland Clinic is transforming the way care is delivered to patients. Over the past several years, we have had an ongoing focus on driving efficiencies, lowering costs, reducing duplication in services and enhancing quality to make healthcare affordable to patients.Although we have made progress, we need to further reduce costs to the organization by $330 million in 2014.  We are carefully evaluating all aspects of our system to accomplish this. Some of the initiatives include offering early retirement to 3,000 eligible employees, reducing operational costs, stricter review of filling vacant positions, and lastly workforce reductions.

Cleveland Clinic is expecting less in reimbursement and patients to pay more for their healthcare.

Hospitals around the country are following suit. Vanderbilt University Medical Center, the largest employer in the state of Tennessee, is laying off 1,000 individuals and slashing hours.  Metro Health of Ohio laid off 450 people. With shrinking staffs and an influx of patients, lines to see your doctor are likely to continue to grow.

Today the House of Representatives passed a continuing resolution to defund Obamacare. However, it is likely too little, too late as the democratic controlled Senate and president Obama are not likely to defund their landmark legislation.

Exclusive: National Physician Association Rallies To Defund Obamacare

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) is asking physicians and patients to sign petitions to Congress to defund the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), called “ObamaCare.”  Former Congressman Dr. Ron Paul (since 1970) and US Senator Rand Paul (who hand writes his dues check every year) are notable members of AAPS.

“The clock is set to destroy American medicine and the American economy. It’s not too late to avert this disaster by immediately defunding and delaying implementation of ObamaCare,” says AAPS.

The Petition of Physicians reads:

“My job, duty, and mission is to care for my patients, and Obamacare, the

Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, makes it impossible to fully

fulfill my obligations. Therefore, as a medical professional I support the full repeal of

Obamacare, and I oppose any bill or budget resolution that provides

funding to implement or enforce any part of it.”

The petition for patients reads:

“I rely on the patient physician relationship to serve my best interests, but

Obamacare, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, forces the

physician-government relationship to be placed ahead of me in the exam

room. Therefore, as a patient reliant on good medical decision making and a

responsive medical market I support the full repeal of Obamacare, and I

oppose any bill or budget resolution that provides funding to implement or

enforce any part of it.”

Dr. Jane Orient, executive director of AAPS since 1989, tells us in our exclusive interview ,”We will send this petition off to members of the House of Representatives in an attempt to influence republicans to vote with their constituents and defund Obamacare.”

Currently Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) doesn’t feel that the vote to defund Obamacare will sway in their favor. “Right now, we don’t have the votes. We don’t have the votes in the House. We don’t have the votes in the Senate,” says Cruz.

“I think it’s extremely important for patients and doctors to understand what Obamacare means to the relationship they enjoy with one another. They need to understand what Obamacare means to American medicine. Patients and doctors must seek a way to decouple themselves from this train-wreck,” says Dr. Orient. Since yesterday, more than 400 patients and 310 physicians have signed the petition.

Dr. Orient joined the AAPS in 1983. She specializes in general internal medicine. The AAPS is a national organization representing physicians in all specialties, founded in 1943 to preserve private medicine and the patient-physician relationship.
