DHS Report Warns of “Sovereign Citizen”, Right-Wing Domestic Terror Threat

A new intelligence report produced by the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigations is calling attention to an apparent domestic terror threat from ” right-wing sovereign citizen extremists”, according to CNN.

The report claims that there have been 24 sovereign citizen attacks in the United States since 2010. According to the report these “extremists” believe they are not bound by the law and will assert their rights on a regular basis when confronted by police. This could be a traffic stop or refusing to obey court orders.

News of the report comes as the Obama Administration is holding a three-day conference analyzing both international and domestic threats from terrorism. According to the report some local and federal law enforcement agencies view the threat from so-called sovereign citizens to be equal or greater to the threat from the Islamic State and similar groups.

The term sovereign citizens has become a catch all term for those who assert their rights and refuse to accept what they see as unjust or immoral orders from police officers or other authorities. There have been several instances of individuals allegedly calling themselves sovereigns shooting or plotting to kill police officers. The report states “law enforcement officers will remain the primary target of (sovereign citizen) violence over the next year.”

This latest report comes after Attorney General Eric Holder announced the Justice Department would revive a task force on domestic terrorism in an attempt to stop violence within the United States.  Last Summer, Mr. Holder stated that the Domestic Terrorism Executive Committee would work to eliminate the danger from violent individuals who may be motivated by anti-government or racist views. The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National Security Division of the Justice Department and the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee are in charge of the efforts. The committee was originally launched to focus on right-wing extremism in the aftermath of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.

As Americans are waking up to the mass surveillance programs and growing police state around the country, many are pursuing knowledge of their rights when dealing with police officers and government officials. Rather than being violent extremists these are everyday, hard-working Americans who wish to feel safe and secure in their own homes. An increased focus on police violence against unarmed citizens has caused a rift between communities and the authorities. The US governments search for “domestic extremists” is likely to net innocent individuals who are not pursuing violence but rather simply attempting to live free of government interference in their lives.

When governments criminalize innocent actions of free people there will be resistance. When governments propagandize the people to mistrust those who assert their rights, there will be division. Ultimately it is up to each of us to communicate with our neighbors and family members so they understand the difference between those pursuing violence and those attempting to live free.

VIDEO: Muslim Extremist Calls Obama A Tyrant

LONDON, September 9, 2014 – British Muslim extremist Anjam Choudary appeared on CNN’s ” Reliable Sources” Sunday morning. During his interview, Choudary defended his radical religious views and even went as far as referring to President Obama as a tyrant.

When pressed, Choudary refused to condemn the killing of American journalists by the Islamic State saying, journalists are “the propaganda machine of the Obama administration”; and claiming that Muslims in the region are not making distinctions between (Western) civilians and military “because they see that the general populace of America have revoted for people like Obama and Bush who continue their policy of tyranny in the area.”. Released Documents Cite Connections Between 9/11 Terrorists, Florida Family

The U.S. Justice Department released four new, heavily censored documents, previously embargoed from the public eye about the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. According to the Miami Herald, the documents confirm that by 2002 the FBI had found “many connections” between 9/11 terrorists and the Florida family of “an allegedly wealthy international businessman” with ties to the Saudi Royal family.

“On or about 8/27/01 his family fled their house in Sarasota leaving behind valuable items in a manner indicating they left quickly without prior preparation,” said an FBI “case narrative” written on April 16, 2002.

The businessman’s name is blanked out, but it’s actually included on another page. Esam Ghazzawi, his name, is included on another page — an FBI form that accompanied a piece of evidence.

This is the first time the government has confirmed Ghazzawi’s name in the FBI investigation that has yet to be disclosed to either the 9/11 Commission or congressional investigators.

Advisor to a senior Saudi prince, Ghazzawi, owned an upscale home in Sarasota with his daughter and her husband prior to 9/11.

“Law enforcement sources have said that after 9/11 investigators found evidence — telephone records and photographs of license tags and security gate log books — showing that hijack pilot Mohamed Atta, former Broward resident and fugitive al Qaeda leader Adnan Shukrijumah and other terror suspects had visited the home. The home is about 10 miles from the Venice airport, where Atta and the two other hijack pilots trained,” reported the Herald.

The pages were released in part do to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit brought by BrowardBulldog.org after the FBI refused to release information about the matter.

McCain-Backed Plan Could Give Terrorists shoulder-fired missiles

According to John McCain, powerful weapons getting into the wrong hands is worth the risk to oust Syria’s President Bashar al Assad.

With blood on McCain’s hands, those same weapons could bring more terror attacks if those wrong hands are members of Al Qaeda. McCain says he is perfectly fine with taking that risk.

Award-winning journalist Ben Swann has reported extensively that the largest groups fighting to overthrow Assad are Jihadists.

Al-Nusra Front is the largest group, which is the Syrian wing of Al Qaeda in Iraq.

So is McCain ok with these stinger missiles falling in the hands of Al Qaeda? Apparently so.

According to Time, the Obama White House is weighing the options of sending surface-to-air missiles to Syria to help bring an end to the country’s long civil war.

The shoulder-fired missiles are capable of knocking a helicopter or low-flying plane out of the sky.

“The introduction of manpads could be a game changer in Syria, like it was in Afghanistan in the 1980s with Stinger missiles,” an Arab official told TIME, adding that he believed the Obama Administration had begun discussing the idea more seriously.

The addition of U.S. weapons could be an even huge game changer if those weapons got into the wrong hands.

Time reported that Senior Administration officials worry that the weapons — known technically as man-portable air-defense systems, or manpads — could fall into the hands of terrorists intent on shooting down a civilian airliner. Syria’s rebel forces are now dominated by radical Islamists, some of whom recently overran headquarters used by a moderate faction and looted weapons stored there.

The potential of al-Qaeda is terrifying. Even former CIA director David Petraeus who called that scenario a “nightmare” in January.

A 2005 Rand Corp. study found that the shooting down of a civilian airliner might temporarily freeze air travel worldwide and produce total economic losses of more than $15 billion.

But McCain thinks our safety is worth the risk: “I want to shoot them down,” McCain said. “To stop these atrocities, I’m willing to take the risk of a manpad … falling into the wrong hands, because we’ve got to stop it.”

McCain is postulating a false idea that if Assad is ousted, all atrocities in Syria will end. Pulitzer Prize-winning Seymour Hersh said the Obama Administration cherry-picked intelligence to justify a war with Syria. In fact, the rebels may have launched the chemical attack last year that killed over a thousand civilians in Syria. Read more here.

So the premise that the U.S. should be involved in order to stop the violence is false.

According to the Time report, officials in Saudi Arabia are trying to broker this arms deal and “vet” which rebels would be allowed to use these lethal weapons. It’s ironic that Saudi Arabia is trusted to do this while they remain the leading financial source for terrorism world wide.

As previously reported by Benswann.com, a leaked diplomatic cable from then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated, “Saudi Arabia remains a critical financial support for al-Qa’ida, the Taliban, LeT [Lashkar-e-Taiba in Pakistan] and other terrorist groups.”

So while American soldiers are fighting terrorists in Afghanistan, McCain is essentially arming the terrorists in Syria.

It’s very troubling that McCain would make such a irresponsible claim. What is more troubling, is the fact the U.S. continues to  repeat the same failed foreign policies and expect different results-it’s insanity!
