New York, NY- About three hundred protestors took to the streets of New York City Tuesday night to continue protests against what they perceive to be police brutality towards the public. This is the first protest since the “execution style” shooting of two NYPD officers in Brooklyn on Saturday.
Monday, New York’s major Bill De Blasio instructed protestors to cease with their protests until at least after the funerals for the the two officers. Tuesday, protestors demonstrated that they would not be deterred by the Mayor or by the NYPD Union.
Protestors also say that authorities in New York are using the deaths of those two officers to push for an end to peaceful protests.
